We proudly present you our exclusive watercolors series “Icons of Watchmaking” – 10 absolutely iconic mechanical watches in a slightly artistic, detailed interpretation by immensely talented artist and illustrator Anna Halarewicz.

There are probably quite a few things that decide whether or not a watch becomes an icon, but one that is an absolute key is design. It is up to the design of a watch to attract us to it and stand out among the vast competition. It is also design, standing trial of time and timeless, that predestines a watch to be called an icon. Throughout decades of the history of watches only a handful of pieces deserved to be titled truly iconic, an we did try to name our top 10 some time ago. Now we pay tribute to that list in an artistic form – hand painted watercolors by Anna Halarewicz, renowned artist, painter and illustrator.

Anna Halarewicz

One of the most renown fashion illustrators in Poland. Graduate of the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts, lives and creates in Warsaw.

Anna worked and cooperated with titles like: Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Glamour, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Newsweek and brand like Omega, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Bizuu, La Mania and Tatuum. She also illustrates books.

She exhibited both in galleries in Poland and abroad.

I am a graphic, I enjoy working with time consuming techniques and illustrative challenges. Taking on “Icons of Watchmaking” certainly was one of them. For now precision and realism triumphed, but as it a very seductive subject I will most likely work on it again.
