WATCH OF THE YEAR 2020
Hereby we present you the already 11th edition of the CH24 Watch of the Year. 60 nominated watches enter to fight for the statuettes in 6 competition categories, from the on-the-budget watch to complications.
The year 2020 is quite an unusual one, and I don’t think we need to remind you why. Global coronavirus pandemic changed a lot in our lives and affected luxury good industry equally. Because we’re still in uncertain times, the entire watch-world calendar has been on its head, mostly canceled, also interfering with our plans and ideas. CH24 Watch of the Year kicks off a bit later than usual this year, and for obvious reasons we decided not to hold a final dinner gala in Warsaw. The grand evening will return next year, with a new concept and even bigger flair, but we are still keeping with tradition and award what’s been best in the watch industry past 12 months.
2020, without Baselworld (now permanently gone) and Watches & Wonders Geneve, has been visibly less fruitful in new pieces and spectacular debuts. Hard times called for drastic measures, modest approach and postponing of some major releases for the near future. This on one hand teases an interesting 2021, but on the other forces us to be happy with what we have for now, nit uninteresting by all means. 60 of them have been selected an nominated in the 2020 “WOTY” (“Watch of the Year”). Among timepieces included in categories: Classic Watch, Sports Watch, Ladies Watch, Complicated Watch, Innovation in Watchmaking and Watch Priced up to 10 000 PLN, you will find everything form a classic suit watches, sporty pieces with less and more complicated nature, designers gems for the ladies who appreciate fine craftsmanship, highest possible level of complications, innovative solutions and great watches, that will not ruin your budget.
