Hereby we commence the 12^th edition of our annual “CH24 Watch of The Year”. 60 nominated watches compete in 6 categories, complemented by “Public Prize” to be decided by you in an open vote for the best watch of past 12 months.

Another difficult year for watchmaking industry (and many other industries) comes slowly to an end – and that is an inevitable sign, that it is time for our “CH24 Watch of The Year”. This time a tad bit later, as the dynamic changes in the industry calendar of premieres made us move the launch date a bit closer to the end of the year. This year witnessed only one major watch event – the Geneva Watch Days. The ongoing pandemic made all other physical events impossible (Watches & Wonders was again held fully online, and Baselworld… it’s just a memory now) and that in turn limited number of novelties in general, visible compared to the pre-pandemic times. We still don’t know exactly how the watch-world will look like post-Covid, and will we learn our lesson – that is still to be seen, but is certain. Regardless, we had a year interesting in new timepieces, and as per usual we chose to honor the best of the best.

“CH24 Watch of The Year” is 6 competition categories: “Classic Watch”, “Sports Watch”, “Ladies Watch”, “Complicated Watch”, “Innovation in Watchmaking” and “Watch Priced Up To 10 000 PLN”. Each contains 10 watches, presented through the last 12 months and nominated by an international jury, composed of 11 experts in the field of watchmaking. The same Jury will also award the “Grand Prix” – the best watch of 2021 – and the Special Jury Prize. The last, but most definitely not least, award goes to the watch selected by the open public vote. You can cast your vote for one of all 60 nominated watches.

The grand finale of the 2021 “CH24 Watch Of The Year” will unfortunately, like last year, not be crowned (for reasons beyond our control) with a dinner gala in Warsaw. We shall announce all the laureates online, beginning of December.

Our partners this year are Porsche and The Glenlivet, with media patronage by Elle Man and Men’s Health. Honorary patronage over the event has been held by Mr Jurg Burri, Ambassador of Switzerland in Poland.
